Kann Design

The fifties filigree Kann Design, builder, editor and creator of furniture explores design since 2010 through a variety of models with one era and one style; the fifties. Relying on a workshop that has more than 50 years of experience and specialized in building Scandinavian furniture, Kann Design naturally carries on his heritage and builds his DNA around this style. The know-how carries on Growing up in a universe of handmade furniture, it was very naturally that Houssam Kanaan took over his dad’s Lebanese workshop. Having a background in marketing and an experience in furniture edition, Houssam decides in 2010 to make the most of the know-how of the craftsmen in his workshop and launches his own brand. Two people very close to him join him, Meghedi, a graphic designer and Rudy, a photographer: Kann Design is born. The first Kann edition sees the light in 2010. It is entrusted to José Pascal, architect and designer who develops, guided by Houssam, a collection dedicated to the fifties. At the beginning Kann products where only distributed on the brand e-shop. Since 2012, two showrooms has been inaugurated in Paris.
