Bucking the trend of mass-producing goods in China, each piece of Lounge22 furniture is designed and handcrafted in Los Angeles and is made to order. Lounge22 was founded in 2004 by . The company was originally conceived to provide a solution for high-end furniture rentals which were greatly lacking in the United States at that time. Lounge22 started designing and manufacturing innovative, high quality furniture in Los Angeles to fulfill this need for ’s second company, Ethos Design. Soon after, because of the innovative design, its high quality and American manufacturing, Lounge22 gained popularity in the event and exhibit industries. Lounge22 expanded to four locations across the U.S. providing rental solutions in the cities of Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas, and Austin.Lounge22 set a standard in the industry with its innovative products and high quality. Lounge22’s style, marketing, and service set an example for many companies from 2005 until 2010. In 2010, Lounge22 licensed its brand and its rental division to the Berkshire Hathaway Company, Cort. Since 2010, Lounge22 has designed and fabricated thousands of pieces of furniture for Cort’s event rental and exhibit division. It has also started to design and manufacture for Cort’s CFR division, which provides leasing solutions for customers around the country.Lounge22 continues to uphold its quality and its mission to design and produce American furniture that is built in Los Angeles. Lounge22 only provides furniture to Cort and its divisions for the exhibit and event industries. In 2013, Lounge22 opened its doors to the public, offering its innovative, high quality product, hand crafted in L.A. to the consumer. It provides furniture for hospitality, corporate, home, and office. Lounge22 will also open its doors to furniture stores around the country, which will carry the Lounge22 product for the consumer.
