The story of Morelato began in the south of Verona, when Aldo Morelato founded the “Casa Rossa”, a workshop that welcomes the masters of woodworking. From its origin and up to the present day, Morelato has chosen to carry on the tradition of Italian cabinetmakers, offering collections  of structural reliability and aesthetic eleganced. Despite a proudly classic approach, the brand has been able to demonstrate a particular sensitivity in intercepting changes: the creations of the Veronese brand, in fact, start from the stylistic tensions typical of the last century and which are enhanced in the '900 collection, but evolve over time, up to proposing accessories in full contemporary style, welcoming the demands of minimal and linear taste.

The culture of planning and experimentation find their maximum expression in the Museum of Applied Art to Furniture (MAAM), set up by the historic Aldo Morelato Foundation and located in Cerea, near Verona, at the historic company headquarters of Villa Dionisi. Every year the company announces a competition for young designers and the winning works of the competition are then welcomed into the museum, further developing a well-established idea and identity element of the brand. Since June 2009, the MAAM has been permanently included in the museum “network of deposits” which is part of the Museo del Design Fondazione Triennale di Milano.
