SmarTap is a smart bathing system that not only delivers a sensational experience, but is also packed with intelligence. The system automatically collects information about water temperature, flow and pressure and uploads it to the Amazon cloud for real time analysis. Using SmarTap, one can control water temperature ranges, design personalized shower or bath sequences, change water flow, and more. The system can provide a variety of alerts, such as around the presence of leaks or deviation of bathing patterns, and can even run a sanitization process against legionella. SmarTap is applicable to both residential and commercial settings, enabling insight and control of water parameters and providing alerts in hotels, retirement homes, fitness facilities, and more. SmarTap is friendly to the environment as it enables the optimization of water and energy use - for example, the Sheraton Tel-Aviv has demonstrated 20-30% savings in water use, and 8% in the use of electricity. SmarTap can be controlled manually, through a smartphone App, or by voice using Amazon Echo.
