She has now been based in Montrouge with her team for almost 15 years.
A team made up of loyal pillars, such as Pascale Poirier, Hicham Hamze-Khaddaj, Philippe Lecointre, and a few devoted electrons such as Jeremy, Aldo, Paula, Jérôme, who come back- always with pleasure- through an internship, an HMO, a competition/project they carry… A team which appreciates to help her in all of her approaches, whatever they may be- creative, technical, environmental (and even administrative)-, they are aware of the privilege it is, working daily with an outstanding pedagogue. Because if Fabienne Bulle teaches at the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture since 1982, if she passes on to young pretenders to the profession of architect her passion for architecture, her determination to examine with rigour- and fervour- each and every component of a program, each and every detail of a construction, may they be in concrete, wood or metal, it is without rest and with an equal appetite that she keeps up her pedagogical role within the agency.
It is therefore in Montrouge, at the end of the block, in a workshop opened on a beautifully planted courtyard, with facilities reminiscent of those used by Alvar Aalto on his agency/house in Helsinki, that a few young people share the values expressed in each and every project designed in this place, may it be an individual house or public building- an academic group, a nursing home, Police Headquarters, a courthouse… Values for some borrowed from Alvaro Siza, Louis Kahn, Gaston Bachelard etc., and for others, all personal, resulted from unique encounters or from an experience lived with an exceptional project manager. Values always fed by researches on “l’habiter” (the living), the confort of use, natural light, thermical performance, durable qualities… Values always exacerbated by the site lead with the required precisions and above all with the pleasure of building just as hard as the one of the design that precedes it. The experimentation of materials in their constructive sincerity has always been one of the fundamental challenges of the agency, an eco- responsible approach for ever…
Human values also (and undoubtedly essentially) always exalted…
