KRUCHIN Arquitetura, founded in 1986 by architect Samuel Kruchin, is a firm whose production stands out for its versatility of programs and scales, and for the cohesion between architectural design and the symbolic charge it expresses. Language, therefore, is among its main differentials, as well as the breadth of technical knowledge accumulated over 37 years of activity, working during this period on restoration, institutional, commercial, residential, retrofit and urban rehabilitation projects.
Established in São Paulo, KRUCHIN Arquitetura has developed projects in several Brazilian states, including Institutional buildings - such as the headquarters of the University of the Federal District (UDF); Commercial buildings - such as the Power Center Regente Feijó (SP) and Praça Pamplona Complex; and Heritage buildings - including projects for UNICSUL Edifício Anália Franco and Parque Augusta. Residential projects include the Capobianco and Orós residences, with modernist architecture, and the Casa das Saíras, built with a wooden structure on the São Paulo coast.
In his almost four decades of work, he has won awards in the sector with the projects "EEPG Barão de Monte Santo", by IAB-SP; "João Cabral: Um Memorial à Poesia Brasileira", by the 5th Bienal Internacional de São Paulo (2003); and "Fábrica Santa Helena", by Arquitetura & Construção magazine (The Best of Architecture 2011), as well as winning the Architectural Heritage Category Award at the 3rd Bienal Internacional de São Paulo (1997).
Publications include: "KRUCHIN", with a set of steel works, published by J.J. Carol in 2006, "1000x Architecture of the Americas", published in 2008 by Braun (Germany), "KRUCHIN: uma poética da história - obra de restauro", published by C4, and "Samuel Kruchin: Arquitetura", published by J.J.
