Moreau Kusunoki is a Franco-Japanese practice established by Hiroko Kusunoki and Nicolas Moreau in 2011. The office is founded on a shared passion for both the infinitesimal from Japan and Western ideologies of urbanism – a range that is legible in all of the studio’s projects. At the heart of the practice’s work is a series of cultural and educational projects, including the award-winning proposal for the Guggenheim Helsinki, the new Sciences Po (The Paris Institute of Political Studies) university campus in the centre of Paris, completed in late 2021, the National Lighthouse Museum in Brest, France, and the Powerhouse Parramatta Museum in Australia, which is envisioned to become one of the biggest cultural hubs in the wider Sydney, with an opening planned for 2025.
