Following the completion of the project at Via Varesina 204, the Giuseppe Tortato Architetti studio signs the redevelopment of the new offices of AUTO1 Group, a multi-brand tech company whose goal is to create the best way to buy and sell cars, commissioned by RealStep.

Part of the new and dynamic Milano Certosa District, this industrial compartment (former Koelliker area) is part of a program of redevelopment work on an area of approximately 12,000 square meters, which also includes the creation of Designtech, a start-up that aims to attract new, dynamic and creative minds, and the "Cathedral", an interesting example of industrial archaeology now used to host events, making this area an interesting urban experiment that combines architectural quality and quality of life.

The intervention designed by architect Marco Bettalli, a partner of the Milan-based firm, focuses on the unification of two buildings, the former Koelliker offices, one pre-existing inside the district and one on the street, built at the end of the 1960s, which are developed on several levels and occupy a total area of 3,000 square meters. The regeneration focused on restoring dynamism to the spaces, which now cater to a young clientele.
The first step was the recovery of the original structures, eliminating the classic square ceilings of the offices, leaving the reinforced concrete structures and metal roof trusses in view, and restoring to the space the uniqueness that had been lost over time with the various interventions.

The choice of color, characteristic in the projects signed by the architect and requested by the client, was oriented towards shades of orange, which distinguish the company's logo, balanced by neutral tones for user-friendly environments. In the open-plan spaces, characterized by the presence of abundant natural light, elements of green were also included, which are echoed in the sound-absorbing panels of the lighting in the meeting rooms. The decision to use sliding partition walls makes it possible to easily and quickly convert open spaces into dedicated meeting rooms.

Thus, the Giuseppe Tortato Architetti studio signs another successful project in the new and energetic Milano Certosa District, an area that was born more than ten years ago with the project by the Milanese studio of La Forgiatura and that is now established as a new spot of interest for companies and citizens in the north-western part of Milan.
