Dallas Holocaust Museum

Dallas Holocaust & Human Rights Museum

The Dallas Holocaust & Human Rights Museum is dedicated to honoring the survivors of the Holocaust while educating the community about the atrocities of the past and the injustice that exists, even today.

The 51,000-square-foot facility will open in summer 2019 in the historic West End in Downtown Dallas, and will be yet add to the ever-growing museum and cultural activity located in this district. The new building will quadruple the current size of the museum and will allow the museum to double its visitor counts. Included in the museum is a 250-seat Cinemark XD theater, two classrooms, library, archive and memorial area.

The museum’s award-winning design is organized around a memorial courtyard designed for memorial reflection and gathering, fundraising events, and daily gathering for student education lectures. A second level terrace provides a sheltered outdoor space for patron lounging and reflection and special event gathering. Works of art commissioned for the Museum as well as on-loan are planned for display. Special art exhibitions will be displayed periodically in the Special Exhibits Gallery.
