Healesville Enterance Pavillion

Healesville Enterance Pavillion

This pavilion was set back from the original entry buildings creating a large entry forecourt for meeting, milling, dining and perusing the retail offer before entering the Healesville Sanctuary.

Where once a congested turnstile greeted visitors we have designed an entire entry sequence.

Visitors, arriving at the car park, are greeted by a large artwork announcing arrival. From the car park, visitors pass through a roofed threshold, unencumbered by gates entering immediately into an un-ticketed courtyard within which visitors have access to toilets, information about the sanctuary, access to the cafe and retail offer and a ticketing booth with a shaded queuing area.

Once through the checkpoint beyond the ticketing booth a path takes visitors into the heart of the sanctuary where they will find, among other things, the Australian Wildlife Health Centre
