THE PLACE: This was a place that had already been inhabited and what was left of it was beautiful. Even more beautiful than before it was abandoned. Its abandonment and the loss of its meaning and function turned the architecture into a landscape perfectly embedded in its surroundings.

The place is inhabited by occupying the ruin and extending a series of intimate and intertwined spaces and gardens.

THE HOUSE: The clients longed to build a home to live and work. A winter garden where to restore rescued furniture, a library where to paint, a space where to relocate a kitchen that has accompanied them for a long time, a studio where to work, a place where to sleep and love each other, a garden where to grow their plants, a place where to store a collection of objects that they have inherited,... Spaces and gardens that are gathered under an inversely vaulted roof that compresses its center and expands the rooms around its perimeter.
