In the heart of Moscow, interior designer Yulia Kishkovich masterfully transformed a 100 m² dwelling into a space of comfortable minimalism, where strict geometric lines meet richly textured finishes. "This apartment narrates the dynamic lifestyle of its owners and our design mirrors the broad spectrum of emotions that defines them," reveals Yulia.

The residence was chosen for its panoramic views of the city's verdant parks and bustling skyline, providing a serene backdrop for the owners during their stays in Moscow. With comfort as a cornerstone, the design emphasizes a clean, minimalist aesthetic. Yulia explains her methodical approach: "I start with a macro vision and progressively dial into the details, layering complexity into the design.

Spatially, the apartment is neatly segmented into public and private spheres. The public area, combining the living room, kitchen, and dining space, balances functionality with style. Key amenities like a wine refrigerator, a testament to the owners' refined taste, are thoughtfully incorporated. The area also houses a compact dressing area, a utilitarian bathroom, a service room, and an elegantly appointed home office. The private quarters have been distinctly defined by the strategic relocation of a door, leading to a master bedroom complete with a bespoke wardrobe and a luxurious bathroom.

Yulia places a strong emphasis on color dynamics, seeking a balance between neutral backgrounds and vivid accents. "Working with color is a passion, and in this project, the challenge was to harmonize subdued tones with bold color strokes," she comments.

The choice of materials and lighting was particularly influenced by the apartment's intended use as a retreat influenced the choice of materials and lighting. Visually pleasing and tactile surfaces are complemented by subtle lighting, creating a calming ambiance. The design cleverly plays on contrasts—smooth honey-oak floors against stark black stone and chrome accents, ensuring each texture contributes to a cohesive whole. Doors are designed to blend seamlessly with the walls, visually expanding the apartment's interior.

Strategically placed recessed ceiling lights adapt to create varied ambiances, while standout fixtures like a striking chandelier above the dining table serve as both illumination and sculpture. Decorative elements are carefully curated, featuring avant-garde pieces like a mirror by Fiam, lounge chairs by Magis, lighting fixtures by Luceplan, and a table by Kristalia, each adding a layer of sophistication.
Yulia Kishkovich's design, a monochromatic palette enriched with diverse textures and distinctive design elements, creates a serene yet character-rich living space.
