For our studio in Milan we chose an early twentieth-century building in the trendiest part of the city, the busy, upscale fashion district known as the Quadrilatero della Moda. The ground-floor premises are surrounded by a camellia garden. There are references to the Jugendstil, most evident in the window details, with their intricate stained-glass panels in soft, sophisticated colours. We completely renovated the interiors while maintaining the typical stylistic rigor of the period building.

The panelled doors maintain a dialogue with the ceiling coffers, while the flooring, in dark rough- sawn wood, winds through rooms furnished with pure, fluid elements, selected for their artistic and design affinities. In these rooms we create architecture and interiors: homes, retail spaces, and hotels with luxurious connotations that are never ostentatious and which strive to communicate beauty, and certainly possibilities, while remaining firmly anchored in the pure and noble sentiments that nourish the expressive arts. We achieve excellent results by maintaining constant dialogue between aesthetics and technology.
