UHD Science and Engineering Building

The University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) announced the opening of the new UHD Sciences & Technology Building (STB), with 105,000 square foot of space, for classes in Fall 2019. The new building features 14 Laboratory classrooms, 14 Research labs, 21,094 square feet  for meeting rooms and public areas, and 5,537 square feet for office spaces.

This beautiful building, designed by Kirskey Architecture in collaboration with faculty and students, is the latest addition to Houston’s Downtown skyline and the first LEED-Gold certified building in the University of Houston’s System.

Centria's metal panels, represented by Wade Architectural Systems, contribute to the University of Houston System’s only LEED Gold-certified building that will serve as a model for sustainability in Houston.

Concept Series single-skin rainscreen panels feature concealed fasteners and a common-lock joint that allows the panels to be integrated with each other. UDH features 5 different panels styles and two different colors to create a unique and seamless sophisticated look.
