Within the scope of renovating the lighting complex at Via Alto Adige street, the city authorities of Bolzano decided to use pioneering LED technology from cor light.
The old existing mercury vapour discharge lamps were changed to efficient LED technology so that an energy saving and a reduction of CO2 emissions of over 90% could be achieved. The application featured 5 DS 31 lighting units per luminaire with a connected load of 77W, so that the traffic area could be illuminated in compliance with EN 13201 in class CE1.
Thanks to the enormous energy saving, the procurement costs of the lighting complex will be amortised within a few years.
