Clover Park

Pleskow Architects 建築家 として

The Clover Park restroom replacement is a municipal project located in the City of Santa Monica in California. In collaboration with DN + A, Architecture and Design, Pleskow Architects worked with the City to develop high quality restrooms to replace aging facilities that didn’t meet the City’s current standards. The bathrooms are located in Clover Park, a neighborhood serving park adjacent to the Santa Monica Airport. The park provides much needed urban green space and is a hub for local volleyball, baseball and soccer leagues. The brief requested that the design team bring a fresh approach to an old problem: public restrooms that are functional, safe, aesthetic and indestructible. In response, the team utilized a proven, durable material palette of colorful glazed block and perforated aluminum panels to create formal responses specific and reflective of their sites within the park.
