The Fixscreen sun protection screens were chosen for their ability to block excessive heat without compromising sightlines, allowing the homeowners to enjoy the connection to nature. The installation of the Fixscreen involved careful consideration, ensuring that the screens could be concealed when not in use, thus preserving the clean lines of the design. The use of Fixscreen contributed to the villa's open and airy atmosphere, prioritizing light, comfort, and an indoor-outdoor experience.
Student Accommodation in Zurich
The Fixscreen window screens by RENSON have been creatively used in a student residence in Zurich to provide an engaging visual experience. Designed by artist Shirana Shahbazi, these screens serve both functional and artistic purposes. The large screens, some measuring up to 18 square meters, are engineered to be wind-resistant, capable of withstanding speeds up to 130 km/h. The high degree of transparency, typical for screens, is utilized to overlay colors from the outside with different colors from the inside. The transparency of the polyester fabric Soltis 86, allows light to filter through while providing sun protection. Each screen acts as a standalone piece of art that contributes to a larger collective artwork when viewed together. As the screens are typically operated independently, the full expression of this moving artwork is a rare treat for observant residents.
