The Energiehuis in Dordrecht is a former transformer vault that was converted into a cultural centre by Jonkman Klinkhamer Architects. The city council asked Theateradvies to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the building as a performance space. Theateradvies advised that the design of the theatre and concert auditoriums could be improved in a number of significant ways, delivering a better fit with the architectural design, greater functionality and better logistics. There were financial benefits to be achieved too, of at least a quarter of a million.
