ArtGuard's multifunctional biometric access control system was accepted as the best solution and "tailor made" product for Vitalis Woonzorg Groep in Eindhoven. Vitalis runs at the moment 23 buildings as retirement residences and centers for medical care, most of them located in Eindhoven region. All of them and Vitalis new buildings, will be equipped with ArtGuard's unique BioACS "iPASS" biometric access control system in near future. The ArtGuard "iPASS" uses four different entry modes: fingerprint, smartcard (Vitaalpas), PIN code and Remote control (radio frequency) Opener. Residents will use them according to their own preferences while employees will use Vitaalpas and/or fingeprint for access. BioACS software is one of a kind, linked to other systems for automatic updating of (user) records and mutations in Vitalis'administrative services (Cura, Beaufort, etc), suppling all kinds of management information. The so called Vitaalpas project for access and multifunction in the smartcard, will run in the next coming period until all appartments and offices will be keyless. Vitalis' residents and employees will not only get access to buildings and apartments, but will use same card for service activities, payments (in restaurants, shops, vending machines), copying machines and other functions within Vitalis environment.
