Drum of theArctic

The concept is inspired by the cultural heritage of the Arctic. The drum symbolizes the connections that are created between different worlds, visible and invisible, when the drum is touched. With this design piece, the exhibition audience can enter the landscape of the sounds of Arctic nature. The silence is broken when the visitor brings a hand close to the drum. The interactive prototype uses Finnish and Arctic cultural heritage as inspiration for its visual design and materials.The exhibit is constructed from reindeer leather and wood.
