Embodied carbon
The pavilion's construction is designed to minimize greenhouse gas emissions, with bamboo as the primary material, ensuring a low—or even negative—carbon footprint. Since bamboo absorbs carbon dioxide during its growth, the school’s environmental impact is significantly reduced, making it an inherently sustainable choice.
Beyond meeting the functional needs of Zabb E Lee, this approach enhances the property’s overall atmosphere, seamlessly blending architecture with its natural surroundings. The use of bamboo not only harmonizes with the landscape but also creates an organic, immersive ambiance that fosters a deep connection to nature.
Operational Emissions / Energy
Utilizing locally grown bamboo minimized transportation costs and supports the local economy.
The open-air design promotes natural airflow, reducing the need for energy-intensive cooling systems.
