The project offset 12 tCO2 through a voluntary carbon cancellation certificate issued by ClimateTrade, verified on blockchain (MDL 0297 Berlin Geothermal Project). As an ephemeral 12-day installation, no standard embodied carbon calculation was applied. The carbon offset was a direct commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals addressed conceptually throughout the installation."
