Sustainability Report

The modular apartment typology was designed with change in mind. Individual elements can be replaced or reconfigured as needs evolve, supporting a circular approach that extends the building's useful life. That said, a formal adaptive reuse strategy — one that explicitly considers the building serving an entirely different program in the future — wasn't developed as part of this submission. It's a conversation worth having earlier in the process next time.

The prefabricated bathroom pods and modular apartment components offer the clearest potential for disassembly — their standardised, repeatable design means they can be removed and replaced without disturbing the broader structure. A formal design-for-disassembly strategy wasn't documented for this project, but the modular logic underpinning the design creates a solid foundation to build that thinking from in future.
