Afterlife
The project was designed with a clear structural grid and a relatively open, flexible internal layout. The main living spaces can be reorganized over time with limited impact on the primary structure, allowing the house to adapt to changing family needs, home-working functions, guest accommodation or other residential uses. The simple geometry and rational organization of the building also support future refurbishment and spatial reconfiguration
Several secondary building elements can be replaced or dismantled independently from the main structure, including aluminium window and door systems, metal railings, façade elements, lighting fixtures, interior joinery and selected finishes. These components can potentially be repaired, reused, recycled or replaced without major intervention to the primary structure. Aluminium, steel and glass components in particular have strong potential for recycling at the end of their service life.
