CRETA CHAISE explores the expressive potential of large-scale 3D concrete printing by transforming a traditionally rigid material into an organic, fluid and enveloping form.
Conceived as a continuous gesture, the chair follows soft curves and flowing lines that wrap around the body, creating a welcoming seat designed to invite interaction and encourage the user to sit.
The characteristic layered texture generated by 3D printing becomes an essential part of the design language. Rather than concealing the manufacturing process, CRETA CHAISE celebrates it, making the digital fabrication process visible in the final object.

Boulder Park
Boulder Park is a 13,000-square-metre community park in Jinan, the capital of Shandong province in eastern China. Centred on the motif of the boulder — a symbol of permanence — it reinterprets this natural form as both landscape and play element. Boulders above a sandpit become climbing and resting structures, while stones in the shallow creek form part of the water play installation. 3D printed concrete bridge by Zaha Hadid Architects opens soon during Venice Biennale
The Striatus bridge is structured solely through compression. The Block Research Group (BRG) at ETH Zurich in collaboration with Zaha Hadid Architects Computation and Design Group (ZHACODE) and incremental3D used computational design and robotic manufacturing to revive a traditional master builders’ technique.
The bridge is circular by design and combines masonry with 3D printed concrete. Using material only where needed to significantly reduce its environmental footprint.
By dry assembly without binders, each element can be repurposed repeatedly. The structurally informed bridge opens up a world of possibilities with concrete that could potentially answer ecological questions.

Europe’s first 3D printed house completed in the Netherlands
A consortium of the government, knowledge institutions and industry came together to develop the new technology with the dream of solving the housing shortage in the Netherlands. Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) conducted research and developed the BIM models to print. The concrete mortar needed for 3D printing was developed by Saint-Gobain Weber Beamix, and together with TU/e developed the printing technology. The municipality of Eindhoven co-initiated and facilitated the project.
