Svalbard Folkehøgskole
The worlds northernmost folk high school is centrally located in Longyearbyen. The modern building, made of solid wood, boats a strong environmental profile, and stands out as an important project in LINKs portfolio when it comes to Arctic Architecture.
Hanne Jørgensen/ Polyfor
The optimal location on the Campus is placed with panoramic views over the Fjord of Advent. From the school premises, one can glance directly towards the mountains, and the students and staff can observe both whales, the northern lights, and spectacular sunsets from the large windows of the dining hall.

Cabin in Henningsvær
This project shows the rehabilitation and transformation of a building used for traditional codliver-oil production in Lofoten, Norway since 1939. Parts of the house and the Henningsvær pier was totally damaged after the winter storm "Berit" in 2011.
Marco Schön
The new addition fits in discreetly to Henningsværs authentic environment and adapts the building pattern forming the neighbourhood, dominated by small scale wharf buildings with pitched roofs.By using the same volume and roofscape, the new design stands as an echo of the original damaged section. Translucent aerogel panels on the roof, and facades, gives a contemporary look that fits nicely in with the cultural heritage surroundings. In the dark hours and wi... More

Two villas - Flesaasveien
Elegantly placed and intertwined with the sloping terrain, the two villas on Flesaasveien have a simple yet striking volume. The two buildings are positioned next to an existing house in a residential neighbourhood to the north of Oslo, Norway. The surrounding area is characterised by its green and open spaces. With a sensitivity to the surrounding context and site conditions, this densification project eases into the neighbourhood without overcrowding the site. A combination of curves and straight lines in the project gives a refreshing but modern addition. The exterior is clad in untreated heartwood of pine, outer corners rounded to provide a dynamic yet soft and fluid appearance.

Y Cabin
Y cabin is located in the Vikerfjell mountain range in Ringerike, Norway. Extending slightly out over a small crag, it peeks out between the pine trees and gazes upon a northern forest landscape. The building volume branches out in three directions from a central pivot point, where six differently angled cross laminated timber slats meet. This creates a complex roof geometry which allows for an open and flexible space, eliminating the need for beams and columns.
