Moradia na Verdizela
The house is located in Verdizela, in the municipality of Setúbal, on a plot in a low-density residential area, characterized by green surroundings and the striking presence of stone pines. The project aims to combine formal contemporaneity with harmonious integration into the natural context, favoring a fluid relationship between interior and exterior and making the most of natural light, a striking feature of the region.

Pickering GO Pedestrian Bridge
Located in Pickering just east of Toronto, this major pedestrian bridge over Highway 401 and CN rail lines connects the GO train transit station on the south side to parking and commercial development to the north. Constructed of a simple exposed truss and clad in perforated metal panels, the undulating sculptural form provides dramatic framed views east and west along the highway. Programmable LED lighting creates vibrant changing light patterns at night.
When Teeple Architects commissioned me, we immediately discussed aerial photography as a way to showcase the sheer length of the pedestrian bridge, as well as the context, from local buildings to the nearby Ontario lake, all the way to the Toronto skyline.

Daniels Building at One Spadina Crescent
The Daniels Building at the University of Toronto embodies a holistic approach to urban design and sustainability. As the new home for the John H. Daniels Faculty of architecture, landscape, and design, its purpose is to engage students and the broader community in dialogue about the built environment. At the center of one of Toronto’s few circular parcels, the project anchors the southwest corner of the University and opens the circle to the public after years of inaccessibility. It restores the historic and forgotten building to its original grandeur while also integrating a new addition.
