Nordholt
This complex and fascinating puzzle of different cubes evolves on a sloping clearing in the forest near Frankfurt, Germany. The basic idea of the design uses the sightlines of two old trees standing on the property and benefits, apart from the general views of the surrounding nature, also from the skyline of Frankfurt.
Along these lines of sight, cubes of different proportion are piled up around the central core of the staircase. With a height of nine metres throughout the entire building, this “heart of the house” serves as an exhibition space for the client’s alternating artwork, exposed through a skylight.
The two-storey housing cube, stretching into the sky, contains a 6-meter library wall and an equally high window... More

Interface Creta
Tantalising glimpses of a forgotten past inspire the intricate, partially obscure design of Creta. Decorative carving, scripture and the silhouettes of old lace create strange shapes and fantastical shadows, in deep, powerful colours that enhance the sense of mystery. Like a collage, the images within this carpet build unexpected bonds and juxtapositions, provoking comment and conjecture wherever it appears.
And these aesthetics will retain their impact even in busy locations, as Creta is made for long-lasting performance. It also offers the environmental benefits of our Cool Carpet carbon offset scheme, and non-directional installation means less waste as well as faster fitting.

Zapadni Mesto
Until recently in the periphery of Prague there were only fields, an old master plan and big expectations for the future. This changed, at least for the western part, with the plans for the largescale Západní město (City West) complex. This project, masterplanned by AH K architekti, offers a generous vision for an extensive new urban district with offices, housing and shopping. The economic crisis hit hard and has slowed down the development of the area. So far three parts have been realized, the so-called British quarter, with about 300 apartments and the first of a series of nationally themed residential neighbourhoods, the new metro station - a vital connection with the centre of Prague - and the first part of the business district, whic...
