Following the architectural competition, the quality of the teaching facilities was further improved and expanded. A new community Agriculture & Technology centre has launched in Krong Samraong, Cambodia, designed as a collaboration between Squire & Partners and SAWA for the Green Shoots Foundation.  A highway to sheep and shepherds. The cattle tracks were routes that annually herds traveling to move from the sea to the mountains and go back. The pavilion of transhumance is located close to the “tratturo del re”, a green path linking the Apulian plains to the mountains of Abruzzo in central Italy. The project has the aim of enhancement of rural traditions and enhance the local tourist routes and products, mainly related to the oil and wine production. AL QASSIM GREEN UNIVERSITY

UPA Italia by Paolo Lettieri Architects and UPA won the competition for new Green Campus University in Babil, Iraq and it was appointed to develop a sustainable green technology university campus based on LEED criteria. The new campus will consist of five colleges (agriculture, veterinary, biotechnology, food production and environmental college), the presidency building and all related supportive facilities, including sports hall, main auditorium, central library, entertainment center in addition to student and staff housing. Presidency building is the first LEED registered project in Iraq. The project is currently in hold at the level of complete detail design.
