This project was a design study to explore the design language and massing for a proposed new residential tower in the Historic Core of downtown Los Angeles.  Clad in shades of blue glass, the project sought to exploit the materiality of glass in novel ways by deploying it to maximize its sense of mass and density.  Building from a deep, dark, heavily textured base, the project evolves as it rises to culminate in light blue glass where the building meets the sky, along the way transitioning from a language of dense mass to one of light planarity, enabling the insertion of recessed outdoor balconies within the upper levels.​ Caption Caption The massing angles and jogs as the building rises, creating relationships that al... LC Privacy Glass was used to create this state-of-the-art conference room for a prominent Construction Management company in Woodbury, NY. The door and surrounding glass walls, when transparent, allow a full view of the beautiful reception area and mural, and then can become fully private when needed with the flip of a switch. Our patented PowerTrack allows the conference room door to slide open with no visible wires. The front wall can be used as a white board, or instantly transforms into a rear projection screen for impressive, eye-catching presentations. 01 Project Description /A Riverside Cloud in Qingzhen/   In Qingzhen, Guizhou, a pure white "cloud" is floating by the meandering Laoma River, looming through the lush stands of green trees. It is the Cloud Art Museum in Qingzhen Wetland Park. Entering the museum that goes perfectly well with the surroundings, visitors may find that the view varies along the way. The curved see-through glass structure supports the smooth cloud-shaped roof.   Visitors will be surprised at the visual feast of mountains, water, and scenery via the continuous floor-to-ceiling glass wall. Minerva Galleries make up the commercial ground floor of a multi-family building built in the 70s in the expansion district of Tarragona. Like most commercial galleries implanted between mid and late last century, they are covered and opened only to pedestrians. Being, therefore, precursor elements at the birth of the shopping centers, whose arrival has meant that most commercial galleries have closed the doors or have been reconfigured.
