Amatrice

An earthquake represents a profound trauma for the territory and a pain that will condition the lives of the inhabitants over time. To heal this trauma, the reconstruction of Amatrice should avoid total erasure with a standardized building that has little to do with the place, or proceeding with a complete reconstitution of the same heritage without critically questioning its value. These principles guided the proposal to recover the former church of San Giuseppe, a building severely damaged by the earthquake.
