THE PAUSE

Our response to the challenging architectural installation competition near one of the most important historic gardens “Afif Abad Garden” in Shiraz, Iran was PAUSE.PAUSE is the childish adventure feeling and inspiration that we have not experienced since so many years ago. PAUSE tries to revive the feelings that we have been ignored. Feeling of brick texture tactile; hearing the sound of our steps on the metal sheets, looking at the sky which we pass under of it every single day without any attention to it, not even trying to pause and enjoy watching it. Listening to the “water features located at the site”.PAUSE from the exterior is a cube that holds a suspended brick volume and this is adequate enough to incite the adventure and curiosity... More

CD PAVILION ( A Few Drops Pavilion )

“A few drops” is an urban pavilion, focused on environmental issues. Our approach is a critical expression against the industrial pollutions produced by humankind. We called people on social networks, to bring their wasted CDs for us. Thereby the intention was to raise public awareness about the issue and also supplying the main materials of our project with no budget. The pavilion construction is all done by people corporation. The pavilion structure was built with scaffolds which is 4m X 4m X 4m. The CDs were woven in fishing threads and they were hung to the net on the roof. The CDs are the metaphorical expression of raindrops to incite the human senses. More

Triple family residence

The building will be constructed on a plot facing the south, on the suburbs of Kos town, in a neighborhood with few yet built-up plots. It will consist of a ground apartment and two apartments on the upper floor. The building is placed mirrored to the existing block of flats, to the west. This will protect the vital zone on either side of the common boundary, which will provide both blocks of flats with light, while creating good neighborly conditions. All the five facades of the construction (including the roof garden and the "blind" eastern facade) are composed of the absolutely necessary elements. The main components of the construction are clearly distinguishable from the secondary ones. The framework is freely displayed and contributes a... More

Baku Bus Station 1

The project, which took place in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan, is designed for managing and maintaining city buses in Baku. The entire city’s public transport network is provided by this institution. Our design, which has a total project area of 158 000 sqm, includes management building, facilities for drivers, workshop building, car wash building and training building. The project’s point of origin is parallel to the motorway passing by, a shield wall extending along the structure, and this shield is a structure located behind the wall. In this view, a set indicating the boundary between the road and the field will be taken and a total front façade will be formed. This facade adds value to the structure of the institution. More

ASN

A compact volume in which floors are sliding against each other to develop many outdoor spaces. The project consists in piling functions while giving each of them different qualities. The access of the building is from the Menil street through a covered space under a overhang. The main hall, large and bright, allows users to move and share easily. From the entrance, the psychomotricity area is visible, largely open to the common courtyard and the small public garden planted with trees. The toy library takes place on two levels linked with a double height void and can be used independently from the day-nursery. On the different floors, separation between service areas and children’s sections is clear. Changing rooms are in a central posit... More
