From 1978 to 2016, the Bijlmerbajes was one of the most famous prison complexes in the Netherlands, consisting of six iconic towers connected by a central connecting corridor. In 2019, OMA, LOLA Landscape Architects and FABRICations created the master plan for this area with a rich history and the image of a forbidden island.
