We are temporary visitors to this planet. It is important that we don’t leave any footprints that impact future generations. Therefore, we must cohabit with nature and not inhabit it.
Permanently impermanent buildings are the future. Darwin is designed as a prefabricated kit of parts that can be dry assembled on site (and disassembled when required). It is made from legacy materials like steel, wood, aluminium and glass. The durability and cost of a Darwin is comparable to that of a conventional building. Aranya Theatre by TAO shapes public space within a unique urban context
Located on a gold coast seaside resort in Qinhuangdao, Hebei, China, the Aranya Theatre by TAO is situated on an irregularly shaped site that overlooks the sea and dunes while being surrounded on three sides by residential buildings. Key to the project is the shaping of the town’s public space within this context.

SPF:architects (SPF:a), an award-winning studio based in Culver City, has released new renderings of their design for the Anaheim Performing Arts Center (APAC), located in Anaheim, California.
