Chichester - Grand Designs
As showcased on a recent episode of Channel 4’s Grand Designs, CUPA 12 natural slate has been specified for a spectacular new build project in Chichester. Selected to enhance the property’s modern aesthetic, the slate roof also complements the rural surroundings, which include a wildlife pond along with a variety of plant life.
Property owners Daniel and Nina Rowland both work professionally within the construction sector; Daniel heads up architectural firm Studio Fuse, while Nina is an interior designer. Combining their skills, they decided the time was right to embark on a new adventure; leaving London to design and build their own home on the South Coast of England.

Q04L63 House inspires with use of natural materials
For this family weekend home in Rifaina, Brazil, mf+arquitetos responded to the client’s wish to designate 50% of the house to social spaces such as the kitchen, dining, room, living room and pool, and 50% for private areas. In addition, a rich palette of natural materials was to be used all spaces – social and private, indoors and out.

The private areas are located at the front of the house and connected to the remainder of the house via the main hall. Mountain Wine Cellar
Rowland+Broughton Architecture transformed an existing inadequate wine tasting room that had limited functionality, as well as minimal storage and temperature controls. Our design team successful corrected those limitation and created a new space which has a calm elegance and sophisticated refinement. Uniform grids of white oak bins are recessed into the wall and framed in blackened steel. The center piece is a substantial display table made of honed black slate with waterfall edge countertop and additional built-in storage. A white oak ceiling cloud is centers over the display table and features hidden light coves providing additional depth to the space.
