Mondi Headquarters

A multidisciplinary team for a diverse, digital and sustainable future Mondi recently went through a rebranding, positioning itself as a leader in the paper and plastic packaging industry. It focused on sustainability, friendliness and openness, which all had to be communicated in the new space. It had to have a killer look but also be highly functional from an architectural perspective, while including fresh technology and interactivity. Martin Sighart That’s why a multidisciplinary team of experts was hired, with Responsive Spaces and Startaparat as the communication, project management and budget lead, responsible not only for creative solutions, but also for the production of the entire project. Office for playing games

Nanobit, one of the most successful Croatian gaming companies, has moved into a new office space with 1.633 square meters to accommodate constantly growing workforce.   Although the development of technology and the gaming industry has shifted our daily lives, all true gamers love and appreciate the classics. This is the reason why Brigada developed a concept that recalls early stages of game industry and games such as: Tetris, Donkey Kong, Super Mario, Minesweeper, Snake, Compound 4, Pacman, and similar, naming it ''A Dedication to the 10th Art’’.    The work space is organized in large offices that function as separate open space zones or closed rooms, depending on how each team works. Adris Pavilion At WMF

Brigada developed the concept for an exhibition of Adris Group’s multiple-award-winning annual reports, realized over the past ten years in association with Bruketa& Žinić OM, at this year’s Weekend Media Festival. For the exhibition, held in a former tobacco factory, Brigada installed ten white cylinders, each functioning as a “mini pavilion” presenting one annual report. On the exterior of each cylinder, important events associated with that year were listed, while on the inside, the specific design of the annual report was displayed. By “entering” a mini pavilion, visitors created their own micro space where they could briefly get away from the bustle of the festival and view the exhibition in peace. Visitors who refrained from du... More

Creative office space

For several years, Bruketa&Žinic OM has occupied offices in a former toilet paper factory, but the space has never been fully adapted to accommodate the agency’s needs. This year, Brigada was invited to redesign and expand the agency’s office, transforming it into a modern, contemporary creative space that embodies agency values and encourages creativity. Due to the current economic situation, the office remodel required logical and cost-effective solutions to sumptuous ideas. The new office is divided into several different “areas” on three levels, each with its own distinct characteristics and atmosphere. These new, open workspaces are versatile and allow interaction among colleagues. Shared, open spaces encourage collaboratio... More

Take Me Home - pop up store

Take Me Home is an online Croatian design shop, selling variety of items from different local designers and artists. When TMH decided to go offline we created flexible pop-up corners which follow the idea of bringing home those nice little things that Take Me Home offers. So if you travel to Croatia and want to take home these cool souvenirs, they will have to fit in your suitcase. Displaying the products in simple suitcase-looking objects was a logical way to go. Plywood suitcases are designed in three basic dimensions, each one fitting into the bigger one. In the end you can fit all of them into just a few biggest ones. Depending on the space available, the number of suitcase sets changes, making it easy to adjust to all po... More

A room that glows in the dark

Inspired by the successful project Good ideas glow in the dark, the annual report of Adris Group that has won many awards, we designed and set up the pavilion for Adris at the Weekend Media Festival, the largest regional festival of media industry. We created a completely white, acromatic room in which, upon entering, the lights automaticly fade out and the only visible things are the glowing Adris annual reports on the shelves and tables. The culture of smoking - From Taboo to Taboo

Glyptotheque HAZU, an art institution in Zagreb, Croatia, wanted to explore the link between smoking, art, and the concept of taboo. The resulting exhibition focuses on the role of smoking in Croatia's artistic and popular culture over the last 150 years. Playing with the idea of taboo, we designed an anti-exhibition – a display that hides the exhibits even from the museum itself. We created a completely new space, with no apparent walls, floor or ceiling, where the only structures are cylindrical display rooms. Softly illuminated from within, they invite visitors to take a closer look. But only after stepping inside are the objects of taboo revealed. More
