Designed for a family’s leisure and weekend stays, and adaptable for hosting larger gatherings, the structure is conceived as a flexible open-plan space. The first third of the plan accommodates the service functions — kitchen, bathroom and utility room — while the remaining area unfolds into a dining space with direct river access and a lounge area that can be reconfigured for sleeping. At the request of long time clients, we designed and supervised the construction of a new cabin in the Chamonix valley. The site is located within a residential compound built in the 50’s. A cabin dating from the original master plan was on the lot. The location benefits from sweeping and stunning views over the Mont Blanc skyline. This majestic view was the starting point of the design. The house was designed for a couple seeking a weekend get-away in the woods to balance their busy everyday lives in the Czech capital. The site is located near Žloukovice village in a protected landscape area Křivoklátsko. Decades ago, a community of „tramps“, young people influenced by E. T. Seton’s woodcraft movement, used to build small cabins in the local woods. A row of such cabins formed a small settlement  the middle of a large forest near Žloukovice .  In the district of Guajuvira, 35 km away from the city of Curitiba, Brazil, the countryside landscape sustained by small agribusiness families is constantly interspersed with remnants of native Atlantic Forest vegetation. Often protecting water sources and small streams that flow into the Iguaçu river basin, these forest clusters are home to protected species, such as the Araucaria - the tree that gives the town its name. Blok is a rustic retreat ideally located at the top of a natural climbing wall in the heart of Mount Le Maelstrom in Lac-Beauport, offering a perfect refuge for climbers. With its asymmetrical shape and grey stucco materiality, this monolithic volume with angular edges evokes a climbing block. The irregularly arranged openings resemble climbing holds, creating a façade that, like a climbing route, guides the gaze and the ascent. In the highest mountain village in Styria, located in the Enns Valley, an extraordinary apartment building rises, combining modern architecture and traditional alpine design. Nestled in a picturesque alpine meadow and surrounded by a stunning mountain backdrop, the building stands at the edge of the avalanche protection zone. Positioned within the Cambodian countryside setting, this proposal has been designed as a series of retreats connected through tropical gardens and walkways to create a community-focused. “KH retreat” aims to combine elements of the traditional Cambodian dwelling with others elements that make it the idea of attractive, healthy and sustainable design that physically connects the ground and raised living areas.  With a total built area of 60 sqm, the building form is made up from the overlapping of the letters KH which means Khmer, the official language of Cambodia, those letters give an organized pattern of form and space.
