Wooden Parking Garage Wendlingen
Stuttgart-based Herrmann+Bosch Architekten has designed a wooden parking garage in the German town of Wendlingen that can be converted into residential or office accommodation in the future. The 10,880-square-metre parking garage sits on a pedestrian axis between the newly planned Otto Quarter and Wendlingen train station. Otto is a new mixed-use and climate-friendly urban quarter being built on the former 19th century Otto Textil GmbH mill buildings.

De Zwarte Hond has completed the circular renovation and extension of Leiden University’s former Cluster Zuid building, now named Herta Mohr, serving the Faculty of Humanities. Originally designed by Joop van Stigt in the late 1970s, this structuralist masterpiece now offers 11,400 square meters of space, comprising over 700 teaching spaces, two lecture theatres, work and meeting rooms, and libraries for both the African Studies Centre and the Middle Eastern Studies program.

Swiss-based global building materials and aggregates company Holcim has launched Phoenix, a pioneering and circular 3D printed concrete bridge. Built in partnership with the Block Research Group (BRG) at the Institute of Technology in Architecture at ETH Zürich, Zaha Hadid Architects Computation and Design Group (ZHA CODE), and incremental3D, Phoenix demonstrates the interplay between low-carbon and circular technologies in infrastructural development.

MVRDV exhibition showcases Shenzhen Women & Children’s Centre as a model of adaptive reuse
ReviveR is a new exhibition by the international architectural firm MVRDV that explores Shenzhen Women & Children’s Centre as a circular manifesto for a low-carbon, child-friendly city. The exhibition takes place at the Shenzhen Women & Children’s Centre, a recently transformed tower building in the southern Chinese city’s Futian District. An educational endeavor, ReviveR considers a number of narratives that surround the building, from the importance of social and interactive environments for adults and children alike to the significance of the adaptive reuse of buildings as a way of reducing carbon emissions, following the principles of circularity.

Residential building 360 Degrees realized with 152 tons of demolition waste
On the Grasweg in Amsterdam-North, residential building 360 Degrees has been completed. The complex, designed by Studioninedots, consists of two towers connected by a cascading podium. The bricks used were made from over 152 tons of demolition waste.

Mies van der Rohe 1:1 Model Golfclubhaus
In the summer of 2013 Robbrecht en Daem architecten realizes a temporary pavilion based on a competition design by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe from 1930. The design, a clubhouse for a golf course in the gently rolling countryside around the former industrial city of Krefeld, Germany, was never built at the time it was designed. Christiane Lange, art historian and curator for ProjektMIK, invited Robbrecht en Daem architecten to design an objet d'architecture on the basis of the unpublished historical sketches of the project that were found in the Mies van der Rohe Archive (MoMA) in New York.
