The long-awaited first direct Arena in Leeds is a really sound example of how structural materials can make or break the performance of an entertainment venue. The first stadium in the UK to feature a unique fan shape which radiates out from a central stage, its location in the heart of Leeds in a highly-populated area meant that external noise threatened to become an unwelcome backing track for visiting superstars, concerts and attractions.
