In the heart of Hyderabad, India, Richärd Kennedy Architects along with HGA, designed the new U.S. Consulate General that stands as a testament to cultural sensitivity, sustainability and integrity.

The architectural journey of the new Consulate began with the need to relocate from an outgrown and waning renovated palace to a modern facility that reflects the States' diplomatic relations while accommodating its expanding functions. The result is a structure that integrates function, security, and sustainability while paying homage to the rich history and culture of its host city and country.

CONSULATE GENERAL OF SWITZERLAND ISTANBUL
Surfaces are designed for places by researching details and handcrafts. Walls, columns, ground and ceiling presented strong dimensions to the place, by its volumetric and textural processing. Autonomous designs of all doors-production-composition of walls-cubical structure of ceiling and volumetric games- they all for showing delicacy of workmanship. Area of consulate part is formed by closed and opened offices. Endless tie is designed for making integrity in this part.

CONSULATE HOUSE BATUMI, GEORGIA
The consulate building Batumi (Georgia) was recently featured with CLS LED lighting. The 19th century building which houses two consulates and several offices, is recently restored. The LED lighting accentuates the historic character of the building.The challenge for the lighting designer was to create an exciting, perfectly matching colour draft. After some tests a combination of warm white and amber proved to give the desired result. REVO luminaires with blue LEDs give the dome on the roof a ‘heavenly’ touch.
