The Barcelona International Convention Centre consists of a large hall (15.000 m2, 80m of structural lighting) that can be divided and a block for associated services that looks out to sea. The hall is both structure and abstraction; the exterior block talks to the sea and the sky. The structure is a musical score of reference. The climate, the light (and opposite, shade) and sound (and its opposite, silence) have shaped the plot. VETERANS MEMORIAL CONVENTION CENTER
When a venue is a source and representation of community pride, only the highest quality of skilled craftsmanship and teamwork should be applied when renovating the space. This story highlights how world-renowned architecture and design firm, tvsdesign, joined forces with Milliken to renovate the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, Iowa. Built in 1954, the facility—part of the Iowa Events Center—has been home to the Who’s Who of entertainment and is a landmark within the community. Qatar National Convention Centre – Interior wall
The large Internal Art Wall of the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha consists of two walls, both of which are covered on one side with stainless steel mesh type MULTI-BARRETTE 8123.
The wall claddings consist of canted meshes which are glued onto stainless steel coloured aluminium frames. The wire mesh frames with integrated insulation were specially designed by Haver & Boecker for the underlying air conditioning.
So as not to affect the homogeneous appearance of the decorative wire mesh cladding, Haver & Boecker developed a special invisible fastening system whereby the cassette elements remain removable.
