Located along Bouldin Creek, the house was designed around an internal courtyard that faces the creek to provide a feeling of seclusion along this busy street in Bouldin. The copper shingles were selected to provide a hard barrier against the street, while the addition of the two corner windows in the copper surfaces creates a profile that is still welcoming to the neighborhood and gives a hint of what's behind the facade. UNSW Clancy Auditorium
lahznimmo architects with ASPECT Studios through a shortlisted competition process were awarded the Redevelopment of the Gate Nine Arrival Precinct on the University of New South Wales, Kensington Campus. The Expansion and Refurbishment of the Sir John Clancy Auditorium Foyer represents Stage One of this scope of work.

The Sir John Clancy Auditorium is UNSW’s ‘Home of Ceremony’ and Graduation and was designed in the 1970’s as a building in the round with a strong sculptural form representative of its brutalist era. The project objective was to expand the capacity of the undersized foyer, maximizing its functionality as well as create a new “front door” for the upper campus.

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Renovation
The project is a renovation of and design of a new entry addition to an iconic mid-century Northwest Modernist church, designed by Steinhart/Theriault in 1962. The worn 50 year old structure required a new liturgical space for gatherings around a new full-immersion baptismal artist-designed font, as well as accessibility, structural and energy upgrades. Careful choices about stripping away the years of accumulated renovations that had marred the powerful space were required. A new transparent entry out to the very urban, gritty commercial street creates a new publicoriented space for gatherings around the new font. Northwest Peach Farm

This residence is primarily used when the clients’ extended family comes from England for long visits. They come to relax and to reconnect with their family and with nature, away from city crowds and traffic, at a retreat they neither want nor need to leave for a month. The design objective was to make every day of that month unique by providing a range of destinations within the site with diverse scales, functions, and views: from gathering in the expansive living room overlooking the fields of the former peach orchard to reading alone on a shaded bench between the library and the edge of the forest.
