COTTAGE AT LIPNO

The gently sloping land is situated in close proximity to the Lipno reservoir. The building’s placement on the plot is carefully chosen to ensure that the main living area provides a view of the water surface. The house’s form draws inspiration from the typology of traditional Šumava cottages. The black façade, made of burnt larch, contrasts with the light interior, which is entirely constructed from spruce bioboards. Royal Picnic Cottage

The site presented a number of challenges, including a house over 150 years old, the proximity to a Special Area of ​​Conservation (River Nore) and the existing topography. Although not protected through statutory designation the original house with its modest scale and unassuming architectural aspirations makes a contribution to our quality of life by informing us of our past and adding visual interest to the environment. Rock House

Area 400 m2. Plot 0.30 hectare The project was designed for a young family. The house was conceived as a suburban housing with modern planning solutions and a high degree of comfort, stylized to the classical volume. The first floor has a public function - a large double-glazed living room oriented with glazing on the east and west sides, which allows the tenants of the house to "be present" in all phases of the day. The spacious living room consists of four main zones flowing one into another: kitchen, dining room, fireplace hall and a zone of a soft corner.
