The Bureau designed by Designsmith and fitted out by Horton interiors is a female focused, co-working space in Dubai’s Gold and Diamond Park with an emphasis on creating a community to support women personally and professionally. It is the first of its kind in the GCC, for sharing space, ambition and the collective energy of women. The mission for a highly productive co-working space that competes globally as the go-to destination – not only has fitness studio, a café and quiet rooms inside its premises but also focuses on community building space which allows for gatherings, community talks and more. IwamotoScott was commissioned to design this upper level floor in the new Salesforce Towerto to accommodate a venture capital company headquarters, alongside meeting spaces, co-working program, hospitality and multi-use event spaces. Panoramic views overlooking the SF Bay Area in all directions informed the design concepts, and drove the space-making, configuration of programmatic areas, and the selection of finish materials. A new bar is housed within an old brick arched niche which originally acted as one of the warehouse doorways. Redpoint Ventures came to IwamotoScott with the aim of establishing a new urban presence for their highly regarded  Silicon Valley-based venture capital firm at South Park in San Francisco. Part of the contextual legacy of this desirable locale is that the Wired magazine was founded in the vicinity.
