The project is a hybrid retail and photobooth space, situated within an open-plan area of approximately 130 sqm. The primary design challenge was to integrate distinct programmatic functions within a single volume, while maintaining spatial fluidity and adaptability.Spatial organization relies on a system of fabric curtains serving as flexible, translucent partitions. These soft boundaries enable dynamic reconfiguration of the interior, allowing retail, photography, and social interactions to coexist and overlap without strict segregation, while preserving visual continuity.

It embodies qualities of tenacity and resolve, demonstrating unwavering courage through everyday actions, and serves as a defining element of Nordic culture. The renovation of this 1950’s apartment draws inspiration from this philosophy and its notion of well-being.

Velarium Canopy
Velarium is made by two tangent closed metal shape: one is the support bridge structure, the other the horizontal shading plane.
Sliding veils on all four side make a sort of fluctuating walls within which take shelter from the summer sun away from prying eyes, but that can still be opened toward the surroundings landscape.
The veiled ceiling consists of a horizontal roller blind that protects from the zenithal sun or night humidity.
Velarium is a ductile structure that adapts to the climatic conditions throughout the day and allows to enjoy a cool daytime shade or the starry night sky lying on a comfortable sofa: a real open-air lounge. More
