Close by Giardini Margherita, in a great value building, our work has involved an apartment resulted by a fractionation with the scope of a new  layout for the resulting spatial configuration. On the same floor, in the past, a dwelling and a dental clinic coexisted covering 300 sqm. The entire laboratory and part of the dwelling, previoulsy totally inhabitated by the mum of the client, have became the new home of a young couple. Perched on the steep inclines of North Vancouver where the city's bustle gives way to a calm mountain backdrop, the Vista House emerges as a practice in subtlety and surprise. The designer, BLA Design Group, worked closely with the owners to design a modest home which unfolds into an expansive celebration of space; a balance of introspection and openness. The space consists of two main areas: first, the set; an open space of neutral colors and a floor finished with polished concrete. Second, the entrance, office and dressing room space; a warmer area of pine wood and polycarbonate. The trapezoidal-base-closet of natural iron is the major feature of the set area and generates an opening of the field of vision towards the set; one of its pine wood drawers serves as storage for the photography equipment. Passing the entrance, one can enter the bathroom through a corner-shaped wooden door.
