HOUSE IN PRAGUE – LIBOC
The design of the new family house in the old Liboc district replaces a dilapidated building that used to stand there in the past. The new house has two floors with a partial basement. The L-shaped ground plan situated in the corner of the plot refers to the old building. The facade of the main part of the house remains in the original place where it clearly delimits a piazzetta formed by an intersection of the corner streets. Compared to the old state, the shorter facade is offset inwards, widening the street. It consists of a floor that is partially embedded in the sloping terrain with one additional floor on top. Funeral hall in Valmez
A new funeral hall is placed in the cemetery grounds at the edge of the town of Valašské Meziříčí.The architectural competition took place in spring 2014 with about 60 participants. The task was to design a new building of a funeral hall for 200 people along with columbaria, scattering garden and adaptation of space of the main cemetery entrance. Our winning project covered all the required elements into the one composed unit – ceremonial district.This ceremonial district is a clearly defined space element with a strong symbolic importance. A ritual meaning of the place is accented by an ascending axis symbolizing the last journey.
