On the banks of the Palala River in the Waterberg region of Limpopo province in South Africa lies Lapalala Game Reserve. Comprising 45,000 hectares of breathtaking natural beauty. Lapalala’s vision is to continue to protect and conserve it's biodiversity, uplift the neighbouring communities and create a responsible and sustainable model to secure Lapalala’s conservation status into the future.Lepogo. Textile bamboo structures for open-air events

Bambutec designed textile bamboo structures for the open-air sporting event Rio Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Mobile and deployable structures were built at seaside public spaces as Copacabana, Arpoador, Ipanema, Joatinga and Barra da Tijuca beaches, among others. The structures apply treated bamboo poles, tensile membranes and flexible joints. Bioclimatic bamboo tents made of cotton fabrics and acrylic membranes covered a total area of 820 sqm, rapidly mounted and dismounted by a team of skilled bamboo builders. Bamboo tents create bioclimatic spaces due to the applied biomaterials and to the properties of passage of the air and protection for sun and rain, which is an important aspect for roof structures in the tropical climate.... Deployable Bamboo Structure Pavilion

Deployable Structure Pavilion is a bio-based space structure built for the Social Service of Commerce SESC. The Pavilion is located on the banks of the Perequê-Açu River in the city of Paraty, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Erected on a green campus on the seaside Atlantic Forest and planned to roof an open space, without walls or partitions, hosting cultural and social activities. The Pavilion was designed to be immersed in the cultural life of the city of Paraty, with its natural beauties, tropical biodiversity,native culture and colonial history. The Pavilion isa mobile self-supporting bamboo structure self-stressed by acrylic membranes and textile flexible joints.
