GG Apartment
The apartment is located on the top floor of a 20th-century building in the Ukrainian capital. Prior to the renovation, a single staircase connected the ground floor to an upper level that was completely disused.As part of the renovation, the team combined a new staircase with a slide that descends from the top storey, through the kitchen and into the living room below.The upper level was meanwhile converted into a master bedroom with adjoining dressing and shower rooms, along with a guest bedroom, private bathroom, and an office.Throughout the apartment, walls are painted in accordance with a muted colour scheme of warm whites, light greys and graphite. The interior of the house is often different from the interior of the apartment: there is more air in it, space is more complicated, the exterior comes into relationship with the interior and affects it. Behind the house is a chic panorama of the ravine, which we see through the huge stained-glass windows. Ideal for a young courageous couple, open to the new.The main idea for interior design was the creation of a large open space with a seating area and a kitchen – studio.In this project we approached the issue of functional zoning from a different point of view, and did not create a full-fledged space for the bedroom, but, on the contrary, made it open and accessible. LOOKING AT DNIPRO
Location: DniproRC Festivalnyi,Area: 105 m2Authors: Nastya Zaharchenko (Tobi Architects),Aleksandra Nuzhnaya,Hanna Oganesyan, Alexandr Backlushin, Aleksey Stepanov It was suggested to create a laconic interior design – “LOOKING AT DNIPRO”, for apartments with a beautiful view of the Dnipro River.Thanks to the panoramic windows – the rooms are filled with light and warmth.Entrance doors were offered to separate the partition from the wooden slats. This solution allowed us to use both the functional element and the decoration.Another feature of the interior is the kitchen, which is “torn off” from the floor.
