Ika.architekti builds fun and functional DIY sauna in Brno

Brno-based ika.architekti has built an upcycled sauna using an array of old materials. The project includes wooden pallets, cement-bonded particle boards, and sheep wool — by reusing these materials, in effect giving them a second chance, the architects have created a fun and functional DIY sauna. House on the way is a renovation of a 4 storeys building in Setagaya, Tokyo. As the name might suggest, this project is unique on his own and has gone through a rather unconventional path. Jarillas Eco Sign

Tel-Aviv Rooftop Apartment

Renovation and extension project, which turned a small, dark 70 square meter flat, enclosed in the center of an old apartment block, into a bright and airy 120 square meter rooftop apartment. The project included extension of the existing floor and construction of a new, light-weight 40 square meter unit on the roof. The extended first floor, which is also the entrance floor, includes all the bedrooms, a central family area, and a small patio, open to the sky, which functions as a shaft of light and ventilation.
